If you’ve been reading between the lines of this blog, you know the past few months have been extremely difficult for me. I’ve fought tooth and nail, tried to swim upstream against the tide, clawed and scratched, screamed, not slept (yeah, that always helps), and have been very, very, busy wrestling my own personal alligators. And the alligators have been constantly kicking my butt.

Finally, a wise and cherished friend quietly said, “Stop wrestling.”

I wrote at least a dozen paragraphs here before hitting the delete button. I think I’ll just summarize my thoughts with a quote from a book I keep handy:

“And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation—some fact of my life—unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.”

…at this moment. Not forever, just  for now.
