Even if you haven’t seen the Astor Street Opry Company’s annual summer performance “Shanghied in Astoria,” you’re sure to enjoy seeing their “Scrooged in Astoria” holiday show. Now in its fourth year, it’s sure to be a classic.

“Scrooged” takes sweet but dumb Eric Olsen, Max Krooke Jr., and all the same beloved characters of the original “Shanghied,” and carries them forward 20 years to do their take on Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

The writing is brilliant, the singing is delightful, and I can’t say enough good things about this fun and frolicking show. See it for yourself! “Scrooged” plays Thursday through Sunday until December 19. For more info: www.astorstreetoprycompany.com  or for tickets, call 503-325-6104.
