I’ve been working to grow my business, now legally registered as JanBonoBooks. It took me almost six years to come to this, and I’m concentrating my business efforts now solely on writing, editing, and assisting other writers through workshops and one-on-one coaching.

My Facebook page just arrived at 200 “likes,” thanks in part to a “free book” incentive. The other thanks in part is due to my personal friends and readers who have helped to promote me and my writing through social networking.

Two years ago I was still balking at embracing online communication. Now I acknowledge that this is the way the world is moving, and I’m getting with the program, albeit rather reluctantly.

In January I “published” my first eBook through Smashwords.com. This was another thing I said I’d “never” do. In February, I re-published “Just Joshin’,” this time in electronic format. I am currently working to put some of my poetry online as well.

Change is coming to the world of writing faster and faster and it’s either get aboard or get run over, and, with a lot of help from my friends, I’m choosing to get aboard.

Knowing that people still love getting “something for nothing,” I’m having a drawing for free books after every 100th “LIKE” on my JanBonoBooks Facebook page. I’ve already given away two books, and will be thrilled to give away several more.

And yes, you can choose to get my electronic offerings as well. (I’ll just keep climbing over my boxes of inventory here to get to my computer to write.)

Meanwhile, thanks for being a loyal Reader, and being a part of this exciting adventure!
