The narrative outline for Book Two has “rested” now for exactly two weeks while I busied myself with other necessary life activities, such as taxes and house cleaning. But tomorrow morning… Tomorrow morning it will be time for me to open that file again and re-read what I’ve written, making small tweaks and filling in more ideas and details that have occurred to me in the two week interim.

Today, however, I spent the entire day at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds, hawking my books at the annual Timber Festival in Astoria. And what a hoot! Between TV’s “Ax Men” and pole climbers in tin pants, the testosterone was freely flowing, and the day was jam-packed with events and demonstrations from these amazing woodsmen (and women).

I sold some books, met a lot of nice people, and spent the day wondering if the main character of my novel series might someday need to know the things I was learning. It’s possible, and thinking about it got my juices flowing to get back at the keyboard and get going on Book Two as soon as possible.

So tomorrow morning, for real, I’ll be immersed in the joy of creating the dialogue and actions of my imaginary friends here on the peninsula. Can’t wait!
