Last week at my belly dancing class (more on that in a later posting), one of the women expressed her concern over the state of the economy. This is not an uncommon topic in almost any group these days, but I was in “one of my moods” when the subject came up.

Being in “one of my moods” that night meant that I was refusing to listen to any projection of doom and gloom. As it states in the Law of Attraction, whatever we focus on, whatever we give our time and attention to, grows larger in our existence. I try to reject any idea of letting even a hint of negativity seep into my own circle of well-being.

It’s not that I’m a Pollyanna or anything. It’s just that negativity is contagious, and I don’t wish to be “infected.” Conversely, positivity produces more positivity, and I choose to surround myself with that particular affliction instead of dwelling on the icky things.

One woman lamented that she’d been laid off from her job. I replied that now she’d have some unexpected quality time to spend with her children. She hesitantly agreed. With every challenge put in front of us, there’s always another way to reframe the experience.

Changing the Universal Vibration has to start with each and every one of us. It may sound trite, but it’s vitally necessary for every human being to focus only on the silver lining in each experience. I truly believe that turning the economy around starts with turning our thoughts around.

So is the glass half full or half empty? SURPRISE! The glass is COMPLETELY full… Half of it contains liquid, and half of it contains air.
