My July 25th blog prediction has come true! At that time, I “had a feeling” I’d have more than one story included in the Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Gift of Christmas book coming out this fall. And I was right!
If you recall (you DO have total recall, don’t you?), I submitted 11 personal experience holiday stories to the nice people at Chicken Soup. In early August I was asked to sign a half dozen “permission release forms,” but the final selections had not yet been made.
But now I know for sure… And… Are you ready for this??

Ok, Ok, I’ll get on with it… But can you blame me for wanting to enjoy this special moment just a little while longer? This feels just like Christmas did when I was a kid.
Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Gift of Christmas, will be a special gift edition — hardcover, with pretty endpapers and a red ribbon place holder. It will contain 121 stories instead of the normal 101, and I, Jan Bono, will have FIVE of my very own stories included in the book! FIVE!
The actual release date has not been set yet, probably sometime late October. So stay tuned! I’ll let you know as soon as they are available!
