I don’t know what I did before Google when I wanted the answer to some ridiculous question that entered my head. And now, with this tool readily available, I find myself spending much more time dinking around, lost in the quagmire of the Internet, than I ever deemed possible.

Yesterday I began to muse on Moose. Attempting to track the way my mind works is a lot like trying to interpret a dream. The thoughts skip here and there, roughly connected to something currently residing in my conscious mind, but rather loosely, at best.

I’d venture a guess that my Moose Musing was directly related to the fact that I’m working the Moose Lodge Bazaar in Ocean Park today, but you never know…

So there I was, minding my own business, when suddenly, and for no apparent reason, I wondered what you call the sounds a moose makes. Is it a bugle? A grunt? A moo? None of those seemed right, so I accessed Google.

Google suggested that it might be more like a cough or a moan. I went to YouTube to listen to examples and suddenly I’m listening to a moose grunt while a woman in the background is … uh… moaning… HOLY CRAP! Knowing how “cookies” and such links work, this could now make me a target for all kinds of porn sites!

I gave up my search. It doesn’t matter what noise a moose makes. It only matters that they buy my books today, 10-4, on U Street in Ocean Park. Open to the public; come see me!!
