To begin Book Two, I must naturally reacquaint myself with Book One. What means I have to re-read the whole thing, or at least do a good job of skimming through it.

You’d think I’d have a pretty good handle on remembering the whole thing, beings how I wrote it and all, but a lot of water has passed under the bridge in the year and a half since I finished the second edit.

I’ve read half of it in the past two days, and I got to say, I’m really finding this worthy of publication without hardly any tweaks at all. To be humble here would be a waste of my breath—this book is really good!

I’m pleased to have picked it up after 18 months and not wanted to pick it apart. I like my characters, I like the plotline, and the pacing seems just fine. I didn’t find any glaring holes in the overall structure, and the ending, while conclusive, will leave the reader primed for another book in the series.

So I’m happy with the first half, and now on to the second. It feels good to be back at the keyboard, nearly ready to let my creative energies flow once again!
