Eleanor Roosevelt is one of my heroes. What a grand lady she was! And if she were alive today, I imagine she just might very well be a blogger… so for today, I invite her to be my guest. And I invite you to ponder her wise words throughout your day, and even throughout your life:
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, “I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.” … You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
I have this quote posted on the wall next to my computer. I read it nearly every day. I applied Eleanor’s words to my participation at the Peninsula Players’ Improv Night last week (see previous blog). And now I invite you to apply them to whatever scares the heck out of you, too!
