Everyone has an opportunity to be a hero every single day. Seriously. Just think about it for a minute. In each of our lives, there are a multitude of times during every 24-hour period when we are confronted with an opportunity to step up to the plate and “do the right thing.”
Stop for a moment and review your last 24 hours with me. It might be a good idea to jot down some notes while we do this. You may want to add to it later on your own.
Did you hold the door for someone at the post office? Let someone go ahead of you in the grocery line? Buy some “fundraiser” candy bars from the neighbor kid? Give some produce from your prolific garden to a friend who doesn’t have a garden? Offer someone a ride? Give someone a hug? Do the dishes (that you didn’t personally dirty up)? Fold the laundry (that you don’t personally wear)? Did you clean out the cat box? (This counts even if you live alone, because you are definitely the cat’s hero!)
The point here is that by making someone’s day go a little better, even in a very small way, we make the world a better place, and by making the world a better place, we are, indeed, heroes. (Even if we aren’t wearing a blue shirt with a big, red “S” on it!)
So now come some tougher questions. Think of your job performance. Are you the kind of employee who is respected, revered, and sought-after? In other words, do you do all you can to make your company and/or your boss “look good”? Do you always do your best with a smile on your face and an upbeat, positive attitude? Are you the poster child for a quality work ethic, with a “can-do” spirit and a great attendance record?
In the past few months, I’ve noticed with startling clarity that there are only two kinds of people. The categories can generally be classified as optimists and pessimists. And guess which group “attracts” abundance and prosperity? As I’ve said so many times before, he Law of Attraction always gives us exactly what we put our attention, energy and focus on. Or, in Biblical terms, “As we sow, so shall we reap.” The universal law matches our vibration and gives us more of the same.
If you want “more of the good stuff,” you need to put out more positive energy in everything you do. Be the hero. Attract abundance!
