My spiritual beliefs have evolved throughout my life. I am currently honing in on the idea that we are all part of one gigantic Energy Source, and that we are spiritual beings currently here living and learning in a physical existence.
This is completely compatible with my stance on a Collective Consciousness (which semi-explains intuition and déjà vu), a Universal Mind, a Divine Spirit, and a Higher Power. In another vernacular, “God.”
We learned in high school that energy is neither created nor destroyed. Therefore, since our “souls” are basically a form of energy, I believe that our essence must exist in another venue when our physical bodies give out.
So why are we here? Ah! The epitome of Existentialism! I know I am not alone when I say I believe we’re here to have fun. And as interesting as it may be to be a part of an unfathomable energy mass, there are people, places, and events that are best experienced and enjoyed in a physical body. And I’m not just talking about sex!
Fully engaging our five basic senses is what life is all about. Not merely “existing” by going through the motions, but wholeheartedly “living” every moment we’re here. It pains me to see people holding back, being tentative, hesitating to put their toes into the water. For how can one fully experience the ocean from the safety of the shore?
When my time here is done, I want to say I have lived my best life, and not wasted too much of it being afraid to enjoy the whole enchilada. So to speak. I already have too many regrets, but I do believe I don’t need to chalk up any more.
Carpe Diem!
