WHOOSH! The past two weekends have gone by in a total blur, and today’s the very last day to see “A Christmas Trilogy: Three Holiday One-Acts” at the River City Playhouse in Ilwaco. A myriad of emotions have been washing over me today, ranging from thrilling joy to bittersweet sadness and yes, even a touch of relief thrown in.
“My children,” as I refer to my plays, are going back into the box, figuratively speaking, for at least another year. I have loved seeing them performed, loved listening to my words emerge from the actors’ mouths, and loved hearing the audiences laugh. I live for those laughs!
So today, when the last bow is taken and the stage becomes dark, I’ll retreat to my computer and start writing something else. Thankfully, there’s always another story to tell, and another audience to entertain!
Thank you, dear friends, for turning out to see my work. I appreciated hearing all your comments after each show. See you next time!
