By dinking around on the Internet, I’ve found some pretty interesting holiday puzzles, games, and rebuses to entertain my friends at parties over the years. This year, I located a really challenging Christmas Song Quiz. Maybe too challenging!
Here’s a sampling:
The red-suited pa is due in this burg (Santa Clause is coming to Town)
Far back in the hay bin (Away in the Manger)
The smog-less bewitching hour arrived (It Came Upon a Midnight Clear)
We are Kong, Lear, and Nat Cole (We Three Kings)
Boulder of the tinkling metal spheres (Jingle Bell Rock)
I made up some handouts and passed them out at a recent holiday gathering. My friends fussed and bartered and traded answers, and they weren’t nearly as amused as I was that I had distributed two different puzzle sheets!
In the end, though, a good time was had by all, and 10 friends took home special “prize bags” filled with some pretty cool stuff.
