Behold the turtle! He only progresses when he sticks his neck out.

Of course it could be argued that when he sticks his neck out it’s the only time he risks getting his head chopped off as well.

To risk, or not to risk, that is the question. Yes, you must be careful to look before you leap, and maybe you want to wade in slowly, but don’t be afraid of the water. In my own experience, I most regret the risks I haven’t taken. The opportunities I let pass me by. “The one who got away.”

Today I’m a little older, and hopefully a little wiser. I embrace life. I say a resounding “YES!” to the things I might have passed up a few years ago. Today I’m moving forward in faith. She who hesitates is hesitant. Seize the day! Don’t waste a single minute! Onward and upward! Come on in, the water’s fine!

In my world of delightfully mixed metaphors I call this “Reaching for the brass carrot at the end of the tunnel.” Today I invite you to entertain the suggestion to GO FOR IT!

There’s no time like the present.
