If I’m doing the math right, which I’m pretty sure I am, today is my parents’ 60th wedding anniversary. They divorced about 30 years ago, but nevertheless, today is the anniversary of the day they wed.

My memory is strong, and those memories tell me that every day is an anniversary of something. The day I caught my first fish, got my first car, was awarded my college degree, went up in the Empire State Building, flew to Hawaii, and so on. Recently I added the day I finished my first novel. Every single calendar day I can find something to reminisce about.

And those reminisces, while sometimes nostalgic and occasionally bordering on melancholy, are also a true source of inspiration and encouragement. After all, if I did this once, I can do it, or something even better, again. Little, and not-so-little, milestones show me not only where I’ve been, but where I can yet dream to go.

As my Law of Attraction guru, Michael Losier says with predictable regularity, Dream Big! And why not? So today I wonder which day will be the day my book made the New York Times’ Bestsellers List?

Now there’s one anniversary well worth remembering!
