As emcee for tonight’s “Authors at the Theater” playhouse fundraiser, it’s been my job to make sure all the “i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed.” I’ve been planning this event for a couple months, gathering biographical information from the 11 authors, writing articles for the newspapers, blanketing the community with flyers, and attending to dozens of other behind-the-scenes details.
And now… it’s almost show time! The doors open to the public at the River City Theater at 6:30 tonight! All that’s left to worry about is if we’ll have enough chairs for the sure-to-be-overflow crowd. Come early, before it’s standing room only!
