Killer Clam Tide, my latest one-act comedy, is now in rehearsal! Rita Smith is directing, and I’m thrilled with her and with the cast she’s chosen. It’s so exciting to hear my words coming out of the actors’ mouths.
This is my fifth one-act to hit the boards in the last 2 ½ years. Three have been performed by the Peninsula Players, and two by the Willapa Players in Raymond. And every single time, I get a mammoth rush of excitement watching the rehearsals as they improve daily, working their way toward opening night.
The One-Act Festival at the River City Theater in Ilwaco will be August 26-28 this year. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7 p.m. The Sunday matinee starts at 2 o’clock. Five local playwrights’ work will be featured, and lots of community folks are playing the parts. The bottom line is FUN! Come join us!
