Promptly at 7 o’clock this evening, the doors to the Hannan Playhouse in Raymond (see link to Willapa Players in sidebar) will open and the theater crowd will rush in to take their seats in excited anticipation.
And no one will be more excited than me. It’s not even remotely possible. Not the actors, not the director, not the amazing stage managers, not the light and sound guys, no one. This is my big night. The biggest night of my entire life (so far). I’m the first-time playwright for two of the three plays being performed.
My toes are tingling, my mind is racing, my smile hasn’t subsided for weeks and I haven’t slept very much at all… It’s just like being a kid at Christmas, only better!
I wish all those involved great success and ultimate satisfaction in a job well done. I can’t wait to see the “finished” project. My ideas. My words. My written dialogue. My stage directions. My completed script transformed into a produced play.
Have I mentioned how EXCITED I am?
